More and more people meet a product through an AI assistant before they ever see the site. Analytics tools don't show that: an assistant's crawler runs no JavaScript, so it never fires a page view, and every one of those reads is invisible or thrown away as bot traffic.
The AI agents tab
Under Analytics → Web there's now an AI agents tab showing:
- How many reads came from AI crawlers, and which ones
- Which of your pages they actually read
- The visitors those assistants sent you afterwards
That last one is the join. A read on its own is a vanity number. A read connected to a person who arrived from that assistant's chat surface is the start of a funnel you can act on.
Named crawlers only
The count is deliberately conservative. Only crawlers that identify themselves are counted, and generic scripts and monitoring tools are excluded from the headline rather than padding it. A smaller honest number is worth more than a big one you can't trust — and we found that the hard way on our own dashboard, where our own tooling was two thirds of the number until we filtered it out.
Nothing to install
If the analytics SDK is already on your site, this is already collecting. There is no new snippet and no setting to turn on.
Open Analytics → Web → AI agents.
